Work and Play...same thing in my world!

I've been gone to the lake for the past 8 days on vacation!  Don't be jealous ;)  If it makes you feel any better we had 6 kids and 8 adults in the cabin half the time.  Still, it was a lot of fun, we do this every year and the last weekend of it my entire extended family on my husbands side joins us.  I bet you're thinking, "That's a lot of in-laws!"  Lucky for me, I <3 my in-laws.  I thank god every day that I have not ONE but TWO amazing families.  Here is a pic of the entire clan at the lake!

 

AND even though  I was having a blast at the lake, I was still able to work!  Which is an awesome benefit of owning your own business.  Here's a pic I snapped while "working." 

 

 

 I LOVE that I can do my job anywhere!  I can be sitting in my PJs at home on my couch snuggled up with my kiddos,  and be helping to support our family.  Or in this case, I was at the lake vacationing!  If you'd like info on how YOU can do the same thing you can Email Me or go to Just Jewelry!

My Daughter thinks Im a Princess

So, due to my success with Just Jewelry I have been invited to attend a National Achievers Gala in a couple weeks!  This is a formal event where I, along with several other "achievers"  will be recognized for our work throughout the year.  I have been in the market for a "gown" and my daughter is in AWE of this. 
Shopping with kiddos is NEVER fun.  Even at its best, there are bathroom breaks in every store, The kids want to play hide and seek in the racks (giving me a heart attack), they are thirsty (which leads to another bathroom break).  Sooo to make it a little more exciting, I MAY have told my very girlie daughter that I was shopping for a gown because I had been invited to a ball.  I didn't think she would take it so seriously but she is VERY excited about this "ball."  She keeps asking me when it is, and if there will be princes there, and who I will dance with at the ball.  To give you a little context on how much my daughter loves princesses here is a photo of her newest outfit ;)

Glitz and Glam and Teddy Grahams

Hello Everyone!!  I am starting this blog as a complete experiment so bear with me.  I promise I WILL NOT be the best writer.  Hopefully though my posts will be enjoyable, even if the punctuation isn't always right, or I have run on sentences, or typos (I'm sure my mother will tell me don't worry)! 

My name is Lindsay!  I am a "stay at home mom"  which any mom knows is such an inaccurate representation of our daily life.  I RARELY  "stay at home".  On top of soaking up as much of my kiddos childhoods as I can, I also run two home businesses.  The first, I started when my daughter, who is now 3, was a baby.  She was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly and got to sport an adorable cranial remolding helmet for about 5 months.  I started researching decorative items for it immediately and to my dismay there was VERY LITTLE.  So I made my own.  3 years later I am still running Stylin Baby Helmets from my home.
